School is out and now all the kids are home for the summer.  It will be a challenge to focus on work and still make sure there is a lot of time for fun.  Bedtimes are already off and I need to make sure we all get our rest so we don't have late afternoon melt downs because of overtired kids.  

I usually work later at night after the kids have quieted down but I may have to change my work hours to earlier in the morning so that I can get some work done before the kids get up.  That way I can feel good about getting my work done early enough to do family activities outdoors while the sun is still up.  

The month of May was productive, I was busy with lots of non-work things but the time I did put in produced some good results.  Many of the little tweeks I did made a big difference and will improve my overall business for the long term as well.   

There is a lot going on in the internet marketing arena this summer with lots of product launches and seminars.  There were a couple of events that I really wanted to attend but I will have to pass on this time around.  I think my time will be better spent working on what I already know and building on that.  I know going to events really does help generate lots of great ideas and of course the networking is great too.  I just feel like I've learned so much even in the past few months and really need to work on implementing it instead of adding more to the mix right now.

I'll be working on my niche sites mostly and adding more of them, more content and more backlinks.  I have a pretty good process now that is easy to follow and surprisingly effective.  It takes work but it is definitely doable.  One tool I use that is invaluable to me and integral to my business is the Market Samurai keyword tool.  I literally use it every day.  It gets more use than my dishwasher and washing machine combined, which is saying something.  

Market Samurai is essential to finding the keywords I want to target to build my new sites and also track my rankings for all my content.  Just using the tool has taught me so much and improved my internet business.  Each module helps you with a specific task in your marketing efforts and just having them available has shown me what my sites need to make a profit.  The keyword research module helps me find what words and phrases people are looking for information on and the SEO competition module helps me find out what the competition is doing and what I can do to improve my chances of getting traffic.  

The Find Content module helps me research the market and find out what people are talking about.  The promotion module helps me locate backlink opportunities by finding places I can contribute to the conversation and get a link back to my site.   The monetization module matches keywords with products that I can promote on my site and has an excellent interface for creating and posting quality ads to attract targeted individuals to my offers and affiliate promotions.  

And I don't know what I would do without the rank tracker feature.  This module lets me know exactly how my sites and related content are doing in all three major search engines for all my targeted keywords.  It lets me know what's working so I can do more of that and what's not working so I can see what else needs to be done.
