Well, I’ve been doing a lot of work on my sites the last few weeks.  My goal was to improve the sites I already have instead of adding new ones right now and I think I have made some good progress in that area.  I upgraded several of my blogs and installed several new plugins to make certain tasks easier and improve my rankings in the search engines.

I’ve created some new content and more links back to my sites.  One tip on some easy backlinks is to use Flickr.  I’ve created a separate Flickr account for some of my niches and have uploaded some photos from my blog posts.  I then put a link back to that specific blog post in the photo description on Flickr and voila, an instant do follow deep nested link back to my blog.  Takes less than a minute to do.  If I create two posts with photos and links each day that’s 60 easy high quality backlinks in a month’s time.

I’m very pleased with my results with some major leaps up in rank for some of my newer blogs and more visitors as well.  I use a really handy blog management system to manage most of my blogs.  It’s called Wordpress Direct and Marty Rozmanith the owner has a new training program.  In the program they discuss optimizing your blogs and they provide a great package of free plugins and videos on what each one does and how it can improve your blogs.

I’ve been using Wordpress Direct since the 2008 Thirty Day Challenge and I think it really streamlines the process of creating new blogs and maintaining them.  Marty’s new training program is called Affiliate Pilot and the basic level is totally free.   Wordpress Direct also has a free trial and when you combine the two you can get started with some new blogs very quickly.

Well, that’s about it.  I have some great new ideas for more niche sites and now that I have a system in place to optimize things easily I think I’m ready to start adding more.  I can see this keeping me busy for a while.  There’s been a lot of talk in the internet marketing circles lately about outsourcing.  That will be something I will be looking into soon.
