Well, it's a new year and a fresh start. I've made some pretty big goals for my business for this year. We're already off and running. I haven't accomplished as much as I would have liked for this first month but having winter break and doing other non-business related things was fun and rewarding in its own way. I think we are back in the swing of things finally and I just have to remember that it's the small consistent steps we take each day that will get us to the goal. The holidays are here and we had a great November. It's a big birthday month in our house and we enjoyed Thanksgiving too. I did manage to get some work done though and was pleased with all the Halloween costume sales from October. Here is a list of some of the fall and Thanksgiving lenses I worked on last month. 1. Halloween Is Almost Here!

It's Fall again and we're having fun with all the autumn festivities around here. I've been a busy bee working on my Halloween sites and all the work I did over the summer is starting to pay off as well. I became a Giant Squid for my Squidoo Favorite Toys sites. It just means that I've created lots of quality lenses (sites) and I'm pretty proud of it. One of my lenses Happy Meal Toys is still doing really well. There were a lot of people wanting Smurf Happy Meal Toys over the summer with the release of the Smurfs Movie. Now McDonalds Halloween Pails are the Happy Meal Toys for this month. The toys lenses have been fun to make and after Halloween I will be working on them more to get ready for the winter holidays. Right now though it's still prime Halloween costume buying time. The Challenge is back and it's going to be better than ever. This will be my fourth year doing Ed Dale's Challenge and I can't wait to see what new strategies and techniques they've come up with for this year. August is here and it's been a busy summer. I thought it would be fun to do a Squidoo challenge in July with my eight year old daughter. The goal was to teach her a little bit about building sites and to create 30 lenses in thirty days. I was going to blog about it but I didn't want to commit to doing it and then not be able to finish. It was a real learning experience logging in every day and coming up with ideas for a new lens. Most of the ideas came from just what the kids were doing that day or playing with. The one day I took the kids to McDonalds and got them happy meals and they each got a smurf toy. Another day we got the tent out and had a camp out in the backyard. So we had fun and I got some great ideas for lenses. I learned a lot about making the lenses and hope to keep improving them so they rank well and make some money too. It's Summertime!

Well, it’s almost summer and we are getting excited about summer vacation. School is almost out and the weather is finally nice. We had a nice relaxing Memorial Day weekend and the kids enjoyed playing in the water. We’ve got lots of fun things planned and I’m looking forward to working on my business too. There are so many exciting new changes in the internet marketing arena and I’m always learning new things. I’m also looking forward to doing The Challenge again. Ed Dale and the gang always come up with some great new tips and tricks to build and grow your online empire and best of all the training is totally free. This will be my fourth year and I’m excited to see what they’ve come up with this time. That’s about it for now. I’ll check in soon with more updates.

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Well, it’s spring. We had a lovely Easter and it feels so nice now that the weather is getting warmer. It was a long cold winter but we had fun in the snow too. With all those snowy days inside I got a lot of work done on my niche sites. I had two major affiliate product launches and have set up a couple new sites too so I’ve been a busy bee.

There are so many exciting new things happening in the internet marketing arena. The internet is changing so quickly and there are so many new possibilities for making my sites better, getting good rankings and sharing everything I’m learning. I really enjoy discovering all the new stuff out there on the web. It’s like I think to myself, wouldn’t it be nice if you could … and I do a search and someone has created something that helps people do just that.

Anyway, I just wanted to check in with you all since it’s been a while since my last post. It will be summer before you know it and I can’t wait to see what I can get done before then. I’ll check in with some more on how things are going later.

Ready for Halloween?

It’s almost Halloween. It’s been a fun month with lots more fun in store with a Halloween party and trick or treating. I’ve been having fun working on my creative Halloween costumes site. I’ve also been building more lenses on Squidoo. They’ve made some changes on Squidoo and now have a new points system and more contests to help motivate people to build more lenses. I did the SquidBoo challenge and made several Halloween related lens. I got some nice traffic and sales from them too. They are really easy to make and are a great way to get backlinks and traffic. Ed Dale’s Challenge finished up earlier this month. It was really good this year and I learned some new techniques and gained some valuable insight into workflow and content creation. I’m hoping that implementing what I’ve learned will take my business to the next level. It’s already showing some good results. The rest of the year is looking pretty busy with birthdays and holidays. I’m really looking forward to it. I’ll be working on my Thanksgiving and Christmas sites and will hopefully finish off the year with some nice commissions. That’s about it for me for now. Just plugging away and building my sites to be the best they can be.
